Any person or an association of people can apply for registration of Section 8 Company if it satisfies the following conditions:
- Its objectives include promotion of commerce, art, science, sports, education, research, social welfare, religion, charity, protection of environment or any such other object
- After incorporation the company intends to apply its profits, if any, or other income in promoting its aforesaid objectives only and
- It intends to prohibit the payment of any dividend to its members.
